The D-tect 150 professional is a highly-sophisticated, highly–sensitive wallscanner which uses ultra broadband radar sensory technology and three additional sensors to detect metals, voltage, wood and plastics under the surface of walls and ceilings.
Five different detection modes, each designed to achieve the best possible results for a particular type of wall or surface, finely tune the four sensors to suit each individual application. There is a universal mode for normal or brick walls, a second mode for concrete, a separate mode for underfloor or wall heatings, a further mode for dry walls and a fifth mode for hollow-block walls.
Yet despite the fact that the D-tect 150 professional wallscanner is, as its name implies, a highly-sophisticated measuring tool, which is also suitable for professional applications, it is still nonetheless incredibly easy to use. Not only is the selected mode presented clearly on the large, easy-to-read, backlit display, the intuitive voice-supported menu navigation ensures accurate and meaningful measuring results both quickly and reliably.
As soon as the wallscanner has located an object beneath the wall’s surface, the user is provided with accurate information regarding the properties of the detected materials, the maximum permissible drilling depth at this particular spot, the exact location of the object itself and the overall size of the object if it covers a larger area.
A red LED lights up when the wallscanner is run over the exact spot where an object is concealed in a wall or ceiling and the device emits a clearly audible tone to warn the user. And when the wall scanner has detected voltage, the red LED starts to blink and the alarm emits a second more distinct warning signal.
The maximum permissible drilling depth, which should at all costs be observed so as not to damage the objects which run below the surface, is displayed on the LCD in centimetres (1 inch = 2.54 cms). The D-tect 150 is also able to save the positions of as many as 64 different objects and a digital tape measure, which can be superimposed onto the display in each of the above mentioned detection modes, can be used to determine the distance between any two given objects or to define specific intervals for drilling as and when it is required.
The wallscanner is ready for use from the moment it has powered up and does not need to be calibrated before being used. The device itself is IP54 (dust and splashproof) rated and is so robust that it can even withstand a fall from one metre.
