The fl uid fl ows from bottom to top through the meter tube of the fl ow meter. The fl oat is lifted until an annular gap be-tween the measuring cone and the fl oat is produced which corresponds to the fl ow. The forces acting on the fl oat are in equilibrium.
The height of the fl oat resulting from the fl ow rate is transmit-ted by the permanent magnet in the fl oat through the mag-netic tracking system in a rotation to the pointer axis of the analog indicator unit.
The variable-area fl owmeter consists of a stainless steel de-vice with an integrated conical stainless steel measuringtube and a vertically movable fl oat. The valve for setting the fl ow rate is built-in (only KDS-K/C).
